1. Introduction.
Beemok Family Foundation and Meeting Street Schools, together with our respective subsidiaries and affiliates, including Excellence in Teaching LLC, Meeting Street Scholarship Fund LLC, and Beemok Management, LLC (collectively, “Beemok Education,” or “we,” or “us”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Notice.
This Privacy Notice (our “Privacy Notice”) describes the types of information we may collect, use, maintain, protect, disclose, or otherwise process about you when you visit our websites that link to this Privacy Notice (each, a “Website”), and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, disclosing, or otherwise processing that information.
This Privacy Notice applies to information we collect:
- on our Websites;
- in email, text, and other electronic messages between you and Beemok Education through any medium; and
- when you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertisements include links to this Privacy Notice.
This Privacy Notice does not apply to information collected by:
- us through any other means, including on any other website operated by Beemok Education or any third-party (including our affiliates and subsidiaries);
- us or our affiliates or subsidiaries related to your or any other individual’s employment or potential employment with us; or
- any third party (including our affiliates and subsidiaries), including through any application or content (such as advertising) that may link to or be accessible from the Website.
Please read this Privacy Notice carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Websites. By accessing or using our Websites, you agree to this Privacy Notice. This Privacy Notice may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Notice). Your continued use of our Websites after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check this Privacy Notice periodically for updates.
2. Children’s Privacy and Collection.
Our Websites are not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under the age of 13 may provide any Personal Data to or on the Websites. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. A parent or guardian must submit any information on behalf of a child under 13. If we learn that we have collected or received Personal Data from a child under 13 without obtaining verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information directly from a child under 13, please contact us at the contact information below.
For high school students between the ages of 16 and 18, you may provide certain information when submitting scholarship applications on meetingstreetscholarshipfund.org or when registering to receive newsletters about scholarship opportunities. This information is limited to information submitted voluntarily by high school students as part of the scholarship application process.
3. Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It.
Throughout this Privacy Notice, the term “Personal Data” means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or device. However, Personal Data does not include deidentified or aggregated information.
Generally
We collect Personal Data from various sources, including:
- directly from you when you provide it to us;
- automatically as you navigate through or otherwise use the Website; and
- from third parties, in certain circumstances, such as when submitting an application for the Meeting Street Scholarship Fund.
Information You Provide to Us
We collect the following types of Personal Data directly from you when you access or use our Websites: real name, email address, and IP address. In addition, we also collect other types of information that you may provide when you fill out a form or through your correspondence with us.
The Personal Data we collect on or through our Websites, includes:
- information you provide to us directly when registering to use our Websites. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our Websites; and
- if you contact us, records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses).
Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies
As you navigate and interact with our Websites, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain Personal Data about your interaction with our Websites, including information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns. This includes:

- Website Interaction and Performance Monitoring Tools. By continuing to use our WebsiteS, you hereby consent to our recording your mouse movements, keystrokes, navigation pathways, other actions that you take or communications you may have with our Websites AND TO OUR DISCLOSURE OF THIS RECORDED INFORMATION TO THIRD-PARTY TOOL PROVIDERS.
The information we collect automatically may include Personal Data, or we may maintain it or associate it with Personal Data we collect in other ways or receive from third parties. Information We Collect from Third Parties
In certain circumstances, such as when you submit an application for the Meeting Street Scholarship Fund, we may receive Personal Data from third-party service providers that assist us in operating our programs or services. The specific Personal Data we receive will depend on the information you choose to provide to those third parties and the nature of their services. We may combine this information with other information we collect.
While the Personal Data we receive from third parties is subject to this Privacy Policy, please note that those third parties may independently collect and use your information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service provider website or application with which you interact.
4. How We Use Your Information.
We use the information we collect from you, including Personal Data, for the following purposes:
- to provide and personalize our Website and its content to you;

- to provide you with support and to respond to your inquiries, including to investigate and address your concerns and monitor and improve our responses;

With your consent, we may also use your Personal Data to contact you about school-related programs, events, or other educational opportunities. If you wish to change your choice, you may do so at any time by sending us an email stating your request via the Contact Information below. 5. Disclosure of Your Personal Data.
We do not share, sell, or otherwise disclose your Personal Data for purposes other than those outlined in this Privacy Notice. However, we may disclose aggregated information about our users and information that does not identify any individual without restriction.
We may disclose Personal Data that we collect or you provide as described in this Privacy Notice:
- to our subsidiaries and affiliates;
- to business partners, contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business. These entities provide, among other services, IT and infrastructure support, and payment processing services. Depending on the entity and the nature of your interaction, such as if you make a donation or purchase, your payments may be processed by different third-party payment service providers. Please note that each payment processor maintains its own privacy policy describing its privacy practices; we encourage you to review the privacy policy provided directly by the payment processor applicable to your transaction;
- to a potential or actual buyer or other successor in the event of a planned or actual merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of a Beemok Education entity’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Data held by Beemok Education about our users is among the assets transferred;
- to third-party analytics providers to help us understand how visitors interact with our Websites;
- to fulfill the purpose for which you provide it;
- for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information; and
- with your consent (if required by law) or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
We may also disclose your Personal Data as necessary to:
- comply with: (i) federal, state, or local laws, or to comply with a court order or subpoena to provide information; (ii) civil, criminal, or regulatory inquiry, investigation, subpoena, or summons by federal, state, or local authorities; and/or (iii) certain government agency requests for emergency access to your Personal Data if you are at risk or in danger of death or serious physical injury;
- cooperate with law enforcement agencies concerning conduct or activities that we (or one of our service providers) believe may violate federal, state, or local law;
- exercise or defend legal claims and to enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements;
- engage in any actual or contemplated merger, acquisition, asset sale or transfer, financing, bankruptcy, dissolution, or restructuring of (or similar transaction involving) all or part of our business; and/or
- protect the rights, property, or safety of Beemok Education, its customers, or others.
6. Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information.
We do not control the collection and use of your information collected by third parties described above in Disclosures of Your Information. These third parties may also aggregate the information they collect with information from their other customers for their own purposes.
In addition, we strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Data we have collected about you. We have created mechanisms to provide you with control over your Personal Data:
- Cookies and other Tracking Technologies. We may use certain tracking technologies that may record your activities on our Websites and your other online activities, and such recordings may be disclosed and processed by third parties who provide such technologies. You can adjust your browser’s settings to refuse all or some cookies. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that certain parts of our Websites may be inaccessible or may not function properly. You may also disable our use of any non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics cookies) through the cookie consent manager on our Websites. - As noted above, we do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. Please note that you may continue to receive generic ads that are not based on your preferences.
- Web Beacons. You can disable web beacons delivered via email by disabling HTML images or opting for ‘Text Only’ emails in your email settings. Keep in mind that many web beacons rely on cookies to function properly, so declining cookies will also impair their functionality.
- Direct Marketing from Beemok Education. We may send promotional or informational-related emails to you, such as scholarship information, and where required by law, we will obtain your consent to do so. You may opt out of such communications at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email. If you opt-out of receiving these types of emails from us, please note that you may continue to receive transactional or account-related communications from us.
7. Your Other Rights.
In addition to the choices made available to you with regard to the Personal Data that you provide to us; you may send us an email via the Contact Information below to request access to, correct, or delete any Personal Data that we have collected about you or your child. We may not accommodate a request to change or delete Personal Data if we believe the change or deletion would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
8. Do Not Track Signals.
Some web browsers permit you to broadcast a signal to websites and online services indicating a preference that they “do not track” your online activities. However, there is no accepted standard for how a website or online service should respond to this signal, and at this time, we do not take any action in response to such a signal.
9. Data Security.
We have implemented measures designed to secure your Personal Data from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. The safety and security of your information also depend on you.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we have implemented measures to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Data transmitted to our Websites. Any transmission of Personal Data is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures deployed on the Websites.
